Link Building with Podcasting

While surfing on Digital Point forum, i fell on a thread where a tip was given on how to build links with Podcasting. As I actually found the idea excellent, i am going to share it with you. In fact it is a nice technique, which allows you to do two things at a time: one is to create backlinks with websites which have a high page rank, and secondly add audio Podcasting to your blog to help it become more attractive to all types of readers.

So lets have a look at what is needed for this trick:

1) First register on Odiogo.com. This service this website offers will allow you to convert all of your actual and future blog articles into audio podcasts! This website is actually awesome dont you think? If you dont believe me just try it! Odiogo works directly with you rss feeds and is compatible with most blogging plateforms such as blogger.com or wordpress!

2) Once your podcast audio files have been created and once odiogo has been correctly added to your blog (you will see listen buttons at the top of all of your posts), go to podcast directories in order to get backlinks and traffic. You will have to indicate to those directories your podcast feed url which can be found on your odiogo podcast page. Examples of top podcast directories are: podcast.com, podcastalley.com, digitalpodcast.com, podcastdirectory.com and podcastpickle.com!

3) Once this is done, you will already have created good backlinks and added the audio podcast function to your blog! What is left to do is simple. Just continue adding your podcast feed to more directories. You can find on podcasting-tools.com a good list of podcast directories (even though some dont work any longer you have a good amount of them listed).

At the end of the week you will have created up top 100 backlinks by adding your blog podcast to directories and the traffic to your website will also have increased! All i can say is nice tip no ?
