John Chow loves Darren Rowse

First of all let me present John Chow and Darren Rowse. John is the owner of one of the most visited blogs on the net: Johnchow.com ! He is also the creator of one of the largest hardware tech sites on the net, The TechZone. Darren Rowse is a 34 year old Australian living in Melbourne. He is the owner of Problogger.net ! Problogger.net is probably the best online blog resource on how to create a successful blog. You will find everything from the beginning to SEO or even Google Adsense. All in all a real blog bible!

I am a regular reader of both of these blogs. Today while reading an article on John Chow’s blog I fell on a Google ad with the following text: “John Chow Loves Me, find out why John Chow loves Darren Rowse” with a link to Problogger. You can see a screenshot of it below.

In order for such an ad to be displayed by Google, it means that Darren Rowse has actually paid Google Adwords to have this message and link displayed! Isn’t this crazy? So you may wonder why Darren Rowse paid Google for such an ad ? Is John Chow really in love with him? Have both of them been hiding us some “hot topics” ? The answer is clearly NO! Then why was such an ad created and paid to be displayed. Well in my point this is just an amazing brilliant marketing idea from Darren Rowse to get more traffic to his blog. Creating links as this ad between two blogs that are visited by thousands of people every day is such a good opportunity to get more traffic to their blogs and increase their popularity. Furthermore, an ad such as this one with humor is just so brilliant! I mean every regular reader of John Chow’s blog or Problogger will have to click on it in order to know what this love story is all about!

Darren Rowse and John Chow are clearly two blog and advertising geniuses! This is clearly one of the reasons why both of their blogs have been so successfull! They have managed to include regular quality content posts and create a real community around their blogs using various outstanding techniques and strategies! Well done to both of you!

Oh by the way you two naughty boys, I LOVE YOU BOTH, DARREN ROWSE & JOHN CHOW! Can i have traffic now ?!!? lol !
